INSTALLATION CEREMONY OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (TERM 2008-2010), GOA REGIONAL CENTRE OF THE INSTITUTE OF INDIAN INTERIOR DESIGNERS.
The Installation Ceremony of the Executive Committee for the term 2008-2010, Goa Regional Centre, Institute of Indian Interior Designers was held on Friday, 30 January 2009 at the International Centre-Goa, Dona Paula.
The function was held in association with the Indian Institute of Architects – Goa Chapter, which also had its Executive Committee Installation Ceremony.
The Chief Minister of Goa, Mr. Digambar Kamat, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The event was sponsored by Greenply Group of Companies & C-Cure Building Bricks.
The IIID-GRC Committee has Architect Sacheen Pai Raikar as Chairman; Vice-Chairman - Mr. James Andrade; Secretary - Ar. Amit Zarapkar; Jt. Hon. Secretary - Ms. Suzette Pimenta; Treasurer - Ar. Siddha Sardesai; Executive Members - Ar. Ashley Mascarenhas, Ar. Pallavi Ghate & Mr. Pravin Lotlikar;
Advisory Members - Ar. Yatin Kandolkar, Ar. Tulio Souza; Co-opted Members - Ar. Sunil Sardesai, Ar. Bryan Soares.
The IIID-GRC has planned to undertake the following activities during the term 2008-2010,

The IIID-GRC has planned to undertake the following activities during the term 2008-2010,
| 1) | Make our presence felt in Society by opening Design Cells to provide professional services giving design inputs to Govt. projects, Local Authorities. |
| 2) | We would provide a Forum for designers & lay-persons to voice their grievances or appreciation for products/practices by organizing a Blog on our web-site. This would establish an image of the IIID being a source for troubleshooting. |
| 3) | We will organize a syndicated column providing a regular insight into Design Practices & Material behaviour. |
| 4) | Create a bridge between Rural Artisans & Designers, by opening a Design Centre, which would propagate Crafts & upgrade Skills of Artisans. |
| 5) | We would set-up Interactive sessions with Companies / Experts in providing members a Re-Learning Experience on products/practices. |
